The caching element in trend 3 is interesting. It's impact is that the 'ownership' of content will disappear, so that people won't buy mp3, movies or games anymore via download but just play and pay per minute where the hard disk or solid state memory is indeed a kind of cache. This is the fundament for what I call the experience economy (http://www.erwinvanlun.com/ww/trends/experience_economy), but this time in the virtual world.

I agree, the customer service is terrible but these closures only means higher unemployment rate and a possible increase in crime.
